Have you been toying with the idea of creating your own website or starting your own blog?

With a gazillion blog posts vying for attention on the topic, it’s very natural to feel overwhelmed.

But don’t give up.

Anyone can create a stunning looking website with exemplary user experience without knowing the first thing about coding.

The tools at our disposal now are truly nifty and handy!

WordPress is hands down the most time tested and reliable content management system offering adequate support, flexibility, and ease of use.

And if you happen to pick up some coding skills along the way, you can tweak it all you want to create the website of your dreams.

I’d like to share with you the resources I found most helpful while building this WordPress blog.

Here they are for the taking ๐Ÿ™‚

So exciting to post something of my own! Making it my very own virtual space!

Easy-to-follow resources and tutorials to help set up your WordPress blog

The one that I recommend you watch first if you plan on setting up your own blog/ website is this step by step one from Website So Simple. The tutorial walks you through the installation process quite literally holding your hand.

If you prefer reading rather than watching, then this blog post from Elna Cain teaches you how to set up a blog in just 3 easy steps.

Yet another video tutorial that helped me decide on the plugins I needed to install and clearly highlighted the difference between the Gutenberg Editor and Classic Editor is this one from Surfside PPC.

And of course, I’d be seriously remiss if I did not mention WPBeginner as the best and largest resource for WordPress users out there with easy-to-follow tutorials on practically every topic or glitch one may run into along the way.

Finally, If you happen to be a college kid raring to create a stunning website to impress your first employer, Collegeinfogeek will hopefully inspire you the most โœŒ๐Ÿฝ

Now that you’re just getting started, it may be a good idea to learn the difference between a blog article and a blog post and how to blend the two to create an awesome piece of content.

Hope you find at least some of these really helpful. Welcome to blogosphere๐Ÿ˜Š and good luck!
